Props

The Urban Dictionary defines “props” as slang for praise or compliments. It’s possibly derived from “proper respect” or “proper recognition.” Below are some gracious words of commendation and recognition from clients I’ve had the privilege of serving.

“As a steady and satisfied client of his for more than 25 years, Rick Boyd is the one and only person I turn to for effective and enduring graphic design. Whether providing advertising, magazine formats, thematic presentations for churches or providing expert layout for books and periodicals, Rick’s work is always fresh, appealing and professional. Rarely have I worked with someone as eager to satisfy the demands of his customers, or as creative in nailing down the message needing to be conveyed.” – Tom Elliff, Founder, Living in the Word Ministries and former President, International Mission Board

“It has been a privilege and honor to work with Rick Boyd over the last 16 years. Over that time he consistently demonstrated a unique combination of creativity, humility, flexibility, and godliness – qualities that aren’t necessarily rare among artists, but qualities that I have rarely found so fully represented in one artist. He has been a delight to work with, has been faithful to accommodate me and my expectations, and has been diligent to finish every project on time. I enthusiastically commend Rick and his excellent work, and I do so with absolutely no hesitance.” – John Revell, Founder, Life Line Chaplaincy, Stamford, Connecticut, and former Editor, SBC LIFE

“At Prophecy in the News, we publish a monthly 48-page magazine, and Rick does a beautiful job designing it. He is given freedom to design each cover based on the lead article, and every month we are amazed and delighted with his creativity and deep understanding of the subject matter. In the many years of publishing our magazine, he is the best designer we have ever had. He is quick to answer our questions and help us in any way needed. He is a pleasure to work with, and we are proud to have him as an important part of our ministry at PITN.” — Linda Church, President, Prophecy in the News

“Our state convention used BOYDesign for our main convention logo as well as for the logo and original design of our state paper. These projects turned out first-class. Rick is great to work with, meets deadlines and surpasses expectations. I recommend BOYDesign without reservation.” – Gary Ledbetter, Communications Director, Southern Baptists of Texas Convention

“Over the course of two decades I have worked with Rick Boyd and his creative products. The national Southern Baptist Convention, the Oklahoma Baptist Messenger and the Louisiana Baptist Convention have benefited immensely from Rick’s demeanor, creativity, thoroughness and insights. He blends the heart of a servant with an artist’s skill.” – John Yeats, Executive Director, Missouri Baptist Convention and Recording Secretary of the Southern Baptist Convention

“I have had the opportunity to work with BOYDesign a number of times over the past 22 years. Rick has always been creative, helpful, and on time with projects. He has a great understanding of church life and always worked diligently both to help us define and then to meet our needs.” – Bob Shelton, Director, Stewardship/Cooperative Program/Associational Relations, Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma

“When I needed help with publications at the SBC Executive Committee, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Evanston Baptist Church or Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, I turned to Rick with the assurance that his skill in design, his professionalism, and his Christian character and grace would be gratifying at every step of the way.” – Mark Coppenger, Professor of Christian Apologetics, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Managing Editor, Kairos Journal

“If you are looking for quality workmanship done in a highly professional way and on time, then I commend the work and person of Rick Boyd to you. It is a pleasure to work with a man who loves the Lord Jesus, is a churchman and who has a profound heart for Missions. The work he has done for The International Mission Board (IMB) has been so well crafted and received that donors have called and asked for scores of additional copies so they can share these projects with their friends. This is one mark of a well-told story.” – David Clippard, Former Associate Vice President – Development, International Mission Board
