The Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma contacted BOYDesign to help complete fundraising efforts for a major capital improvement campaign at Falls Creeks, the convention’s conference center located in the Arbuckle Mountains. The goal was to raise the remaining funds for Phase One of the Falls Creek Centennial Campaign: the construction on three new buildings — the Jordan Welcome Center, the Thompson Family Lodge and the Mathena Family Event Center — and the elimination of remaining debt on the R. A. Young Tabernacle. The sum required was $4.77 million. The goal was to have all debt on all buildings eliminated by the end of 2016, in time for Falls Creek’s Centennial Celebration in 2017. The emphasis was called Complete the Journey. Multiple pieces (brochures, ads, banners, etc.) were designed over the following year, and by February 2015, all funds were raised and the debt eliminated — almost a full year ahead of schedule!
Almost immediately, and well ahead of schedule, materials were designed for Phase Two: the renovation of several older buildings and construction of new housing and an outdoor plaza.
