Gutenberg II (GII) is a series of character-driven dramas featuring Old Testament patriarchs and prophets found in both the Bible and the Koran. Each drama is designed to address major barriers among Muslim peoples. When viewed as a whole, they gently weave together biblical themes that communicate God’s greater purpose of redemption in Jesus Christ. Episodes include Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Samuel, David and Elijah. These Old Testament videos are marketed in the Arab world as God’s Stories.
Along with raising funds to dub God’s Stories into languages spoken by Muslims worldwide, the primary goal was to secure financing to produce a feature film about Jesus starring Arab actors and filmed in the Middle East. The movie, titled The Savior, premiered in 2013 in Amman, Jordan, to a packed house. Since then, the movie has been dubbed into dozens of languages and distributed around the world. Over a five-year period, I designed, wrote copy and edited brochures, newsletters, screening invitations and more.
